I'm A G Nuttall, an author from Middlewich, Cheshire, with a deep-rooted love for the unsettling, the mysterious, and the thrill of the unknown. Since 2023, I've been writing adult fiction that delves into the darker shades of human nature, stories where secrets simmer and danger is never far behind.

My debut into the literary world began with When the Raven Sings, the first book in The Meg Mysteries series. This chilling tale introduced readers to the world of Meg, a woman drawn into murder, secrets, and small-town unease. The series continued with When The Trees Cry in early 2024 and When the Curtain Falls in mid-2024, each novel exploring a new mystery while peeling back the layers of a character haunted by both past and present.

A raven perches ominously on the rooftop, and the translucent, haunting face of a girl looms above in the clouds. The tagline reads: ‘From the beginning she knew only hatred and pain, an experience she was desperate to share.’Cover of the book ‘When the Trees Cry’ by A G Nuttall. A blue and red-toned forest path is filled with fallen leaves. A silhouette of an adult holding a child’s hand walks into the light at the end of the path. Orange leaves fall around them, and the title reads ‘When the Trees Cry' with the tagline 'No One Can Hear Them.’Cover of ‘When the Curtain Falls’ by A G Nuttall. A wine glass filled with red wine sits on crimson fabric, in front of ornate double doors bathed in light. Translucent white curtains billow dramatically, and the tagline reads ‘The real drama begins.’

In mid-2024, I ventured across the Atlantic, at least in spirit, with Don't Wake The Moon, a standalone novel set in the eerie stillness of New England. Written with a U.S. audience in mind, it’s a story of the supernatural and things we pretend not to see.

Most recently, I released Flora in early 2025, a dark and unsettling story that weaves horror and psychological suspense into something deeply haunting.

Now in my 60s, I’ve found immense freedom in writing stories that unsettle, intrigue, and compel. My characters often walk the line between the rational and the inexplicable because that’s where I believe the best stories live!

I appreciate you stepping into my world, just don’t be surprised if the shadows seem a little deeper once you leave.
